  26.      All of these routines copy _c_h_s_t_r directly into the window image structure
  27.      starting at the current cursor position.  The four routines with _n as the
  28.      last argument copy at most _n elements, but no more than will fit on the
  29.      line.  If _nnnn=_----_1111 then the whole string is copied, to the maximum number
  30.      that fit on the line.
  31.
  32.      The position of the window cursor is not advanced.  These routines work
  33.      faster than _wwww_aaaa_dddd_dddd_nnnn_ssss_tttt_rrrr because they merely copy _c_h_s_t_r into the window image
  34.      structure.  On the other hand, care must be taken when using these
  35.      functions because they don't perform any kind of checking (such as for
  36.      the newline character), they don't advance the current cursor position,
  37.      and they truncate the string, rather then wrapping it around to the new
  38.      line.
  39.
  40. RRRREEEETTTTUUUURRRRNNNN VVVVAAAALLLLUUUUEEEE
  41.      All routines return the integer _EEEE_RRRR_RRRR upon failure and an integer value
  42.      other than _EEEE_RRRR_RRRR upon successful completion, unless otherwise noted in the
  43.      preceding routine descriptions.

  48.
  49.      Note that all routines except _wwww_aaaa_dddd_dddd_cccc_hhhh_nnnn_ssss_tttt_rrrr may be macros.
